Webinar: KSP Forensic Lab

Description: Join KASAP for an informative webinar featuring presenters from the Kentucky State Police (KSP) Forensic Laboratory. Designed for survivor advocates and multidisciplinary partners, this session will provide an overview of the SAFE Act, the forensic laboratory’s role in testing sexual assault evidence, and how different components of the Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence (SAFE) Kit may contribute to the laboratory’s analysis. Presenters will also review recent updates to the SAFE Kit Tracking Portal and discuss the critical role survivor advocates play in supporting survivors throughout the evidence collection and tracking process while honoring survivor choice and autonomy.
