Frankfort, Kentucky — The Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs (KASAP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Joni Tamalonis as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Tamalonis is an experienced nonprofit leader with a strong background in program management, strategic planning, and community partnership development. She has led complex, grant-funded initiatives, managed multi-million-dollar programs, and worked extensively with community organizations, funders, and stakeholders to strengthen systems of care and improve outcomes.
With deep expertise in organizational operations and systems-level strategy, Dr. Tamalonis has a proven track record of strengthening organizational infrastructure, ensuring accountability, and building sustainable partnerships. Her leadership is grounded in collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and a commitment to mission-driven impact.
“Dr. Tamalonis brings the leadership, experience, and vision needed to guide KASAP forward,” said Lori Wells Brown, Board President. “Her thoughtful and strategic approach aligns strongly with our mission and positions the organization well for continued growth and impact.”
Throughout her career, Dr. Tamalonis has demonstrated a commitment to collaborative leadership and advancing effective, sustainable programs. Her approach reflects a strong alignment with KASAP’s values and its work to support survivors and strengthen sexual assault programs across Kentucky.
