At KASAP, we know that the strength of a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) lies in its collaboration. That’s why we’re excited to launch a brand-new resource: Guided Activities for Team Building & Response Excellence, a companion workbook to our SART Toolkit.
This interactive workbook is designed to help SARTs reflect, assess, and build toward stronger, more survivor-centered practices.
What’s Inside?
This workbook includes guided activities and prompts focused on:
• Defining and clarifying SART membership and roles
• Building shared values and mission
• Improving communication and information sharing
• Mapping out response protocols
• Tracking data and identifying trends
• Setting sustainability goals
• Creating an action plan tailored to your community
Each section is meant to spark thoughtful discussion and offer tools your team can use right away for real-world impact.
Sample Activities Include:
- Who’s on your SART? – Inventory team roles and identify who’s missing
- Values Brainstorm – Define the shared values that guide your response
- Scenario Exercises – Practice information-sharing while protecting survivor privacy
- Response Mapping – Lay out your local response from disclosure to follow-up
- Sustainability Planning – Make a plan to support your team for the long haul
Whether you’re working with advocates, SANEs, law enforcement, prosecutors, DCBS, CACs, or others, this workbook creates space for each voice and every angle of response.
