Location: Hybrid (remote and in-office) in Kentucky

Position Description
The KASAP Training Coordinator will work collaboratively with KASAP staff and member programs to assess training needs, develop appropriate curricula from new and existing resources, and facilitate training throughout the state. This position will work to consolidate KASAP training efforts and provide consistent training across coalition member programs and partners. Additional responsibilities will be the organization, distribution and monitoring of a regular training calendar and assisting other staff, as needed, in coordinating, facilitating, and providing remote and in person training in Kentucky.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough assessments of member program training needs
• Collaborate with other KASAP staff, board members, and partners to develop and maintain updated catalog of curriculum available in person, online and via recording.
• Develop, implement, distribute, and monitor calendar of training events
• Coordinate, design, and implement training for member centers and other community partners as needed virtually and in person
• Participate in the development and facilitation of training, inclusive of content, format, and delivery utilizing both existing training that works and new methods discovered through research
• Serve as the organization contact for training planning and implementation
• Work closely with KASAP staff in the strategic development of future training programs
• Participate in and present at quarterly meetings, webinars, KASAP's Annual Conference, and other events that provide training or continuing education to rape crisis center staff
• Represent KASAP at meetings, conferences, and events as needed
• Document and evaluate all training provided
 
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, administration, adult education or related field preferred • 2-3 years of experience working in the anti-sexual violence or related field • A combination of career and life experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Anti-Oppression approach and knowledge of sexual violence and advocacy • Extensive experience, demonstrated skills, and aptitude with adult education • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and delivering training in various settings to diverse audiences • Experience and knowledge of a multitude of different training platforms • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, work independently and with a team, and meet deadlines within a flexible work structure • Ability to work remotely as part of a team. • Self-directed work ethic and effective time management skills • Experience conducting research using a wide range of sources including printed materials, internet, databases, and identification of alternative information sources • Proven ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds • Possess a valid driver’s license
 
Hours & Location
This is a full-time, salaried position (40 hours/week), requiring and offering flexible hours. As part of a statewide coalition, the Training Coordinator may be based remotely anywhere in Kentucky, with the understanding that at least one day a week will need to be present in the Frankfort office and that meetings may take place in other parts of the state. Candidate must have the ability to communicate regularly with KASAP staff and attend staff meetings as required.
