Mission:

The Pathways Rape Victim Services Programs serves the FIVCO and Gateway regions, which consists of Boyd, Greenup, Carter, Elliott, Lawrence, Rowan, Bath, Menifee, Morgan, and Montgomery counties.

The program consists of one full-time Director, one full-time Volunteer Coordinator, and 25 volunteer rape crisis advocates. All advocates are employed at Pathways and consist of numerous positions ranging from clerical staff to a director, and have been trained in the medical, legal, and psychological aspects of rape and sexual assault.

Services:

Pathways Rape Victim Services Program consists of both female and male advocates. They are available 24-hours a day for face-to-face contacts and/or telephone calls. They will meet with a victim at our local hospital emergency rooms (Kings Daughter's Medical Center and Our Lady of Bellefonte - Ashland; St. Clair Hospital in Morehead; Mary Childs Hospital in Mt. Sterling; and Appalachian Regional Hospital in Morgan), police departments, domestic violence shelters (Safe Harbor in Ashland; and D.O.V.E.S. in Morehead), and Pathways offices. The advocates will also be available to meet with child and adult victims of rape and sexual abuse at Hope's Place (child advocacy center in Ashland). Information, referral and consultation services, as well as education and prevention programs are available. Court and medical advocacy services are also available to the victim.
